RESOLUTION NO. 9102 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO WILLARD DOTY FOR HIS <br />SERVICE ON THE MOUNDS VIEW CHARTER COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, Willard Doty was appointed to serve on the very first Mounds View Charter <br />Commission established in November 1978; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Doty served as Chairman of the Charter Commission until <br />1986 and was then reappointed as a Member in the fall of 1998; and <br />WHEREAS, with Commissioner Doty serving as Chairman, the Mounds View Charter <br />was adopted by a special election on December 4, 1979; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Doty has served the City as an exemplary citizen and <br />dedicated volunteer giving his time and providing invaluable counsel, ideas and opinions to not <br />only the Charter Commission, but to the City Council, Staff and the entire Community; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Doty, after his impressive tenure as Chairman, Member, and one of <br />Originators f the Mounds View Charter, has resigned from the Mounds View Charter Commission <br />effective December 2018 serving a total of 29 years; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVELD, that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, on behalf of the entire Mounds View Community, expresses its sincere appreciation and <br />gratitude to Willard Doty for his many years of dedication and commitment serving on the <br />Mounds View Charter Commission. <br />Adopted this 22 day of April, 2019. <br />Mayor Carol A.
