RESOLUTION 9113 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING HVAC REPAIRS AT THE MOUNDS VIEW <br />COMMUNITY CENTER AND CITY HALL <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Department is responsible for the building Maintenance at all <br />City facilities, this includes the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) of the buildings; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, After the RTUs were installed in 2014 and 2015 and balanced it was <br />discovered that the variable air volume systems (UAVs) were never installed during the original <br />construction of the building; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has received a quote from Trane Building Services to install this VAV <br />for a total of $43,553.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff also received a quote from Trane Building Services to install this DP <br />switches in the RTU's at both City Hall and the Community Center for a total of $8,555.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Funding for both projects would be taken from account 480-4470-7050. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the proposal from Trane Building Services to install VAVs in RTU #4 and #7 <br />at the Community Center for a total of $43,553.00. <br />2. Approves the proposal from Trane Building Services to install DP switches in all the <br />RTUs at City Hall and the Community Center, for a total of $8,555.00. <br />3. A total of both projects of $52,108.00, to be funded from the Special Projects Fund <br />Acct. 480-4470-7050. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />5.
