RESOLUTION 9114 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF AN AUTOMATIC TRANSFER <br />SWITCH FOR THE GENERATOR AT CITY HALL <br />WHEREAS, the City is Hall designated as the EOC (Emergency Operation Center) during <br />times of natural disasters or other City emergencies as designated in the Emergency Operations <br />Plan., and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Hall building does have a dedicated, permanent emergency power <br />supply during periods of long term power outage that may occur during natural disasters or other <br />emergencies; and <br />WHEREAS, this emergency power supply unit must be manually switched from normal <br />power to stand by power, and this results in a delay of providing power to City Hall; and Council <br />has planned for and budgeted for emergency power supply at the City Hall building in the 2019 <br />adopted Budget; and <br />WHEREAS, this delay has been discussed at Staff meetings and with the members of the <br />EOC team, it was recommended that an automatic transfer switch be installed at City Hall; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from O'Neill Electric Inc of Stillwater MN, to install an <br />Automatic Transfer switch with SCDA connection for the City Hall generator at a cost of <br />$21,660.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Funding for this purchase and installation is budgeted in account 480 -4180 - <br />7030. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />The City hereby authorizes the purchase and installation of an Automatic Transfer <br />Switch with SCDA Connection from O'Neill Electric of Stillwater MN at a cost of <br />$21,660.00. <br />2. Funding will be from the Special Projects Fund account 480-4180-7030. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />4.
