Peter Lindstrom – Met Council Board Member, District 10. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Peter Lindstrom, Met Council Board Member for District 10, introduced himself to the Council. 6 <br />He stated he would be attending a Council worksession meeting in June to allow for further 7 <br />discussion. He commented on how the metro area was proposed to grow over the next 10 years. 8 <br />He discussed the work the Met Council does for the metro area and explained he began his 9 <br />municipal work in the City of Mounds View as a recycling coordinator. He indicated he looks 10 <br />forward to working with the Mounds View City Council and encouraged the Council to contact 11 <br />him with comments or questions. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Mr. Lindstrom for his time and encouraged him to fight for additional 14 <br />transit opportunities for the City of Mounds View. 15 <br /> 16 <br /> C. Audit Presentation – Aaron Nielsen, Partner MMKR. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Aaron Nielsen, MMKR, reviewed the 2018 audit with the Council. He explained MMKR 19 <br />offered the City a clean or unmodified opinion on its financial statements. He discussed the 20 <br />estimated market value and tax capacity rates for Mounds View. He commented on the General 21 <br />Fund financial position, reviewing both revenues and expenditures. He provided further 22 <br />comment on the City’s utility funds and commended the City on its strong financial position. He 23 <br />thanked the Council for their time and asked for comments or questions. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Mr. Nielsen for his thorough report on the City’s financial position. 26 <br /> 27 <br /> D. Proclamation – Building Safety Month - May. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Mueller read a proclamation in full for the record declaring May to be Building Safety 30 <br />Month in the City of Mounds View. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> A. Resolution 9102, Resolution of Appreciation to Willard Doty for his Service 33 <br />on the Mounds View Charter Commission. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Mayor Mueller read a Resolution in full for the record thanking Willard Doty for his years of 36 <br />dedicated service on the Mounds View Charter Commission. A round of applause was offered 37 <br />by all in attendance. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Williard Doty thanked the Council for this recognition and commented on the history of the 40 <br />Charter Commission. 41 <br /> 42 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause.
