RESOLUTION 9135 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZING THE CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FOR THE 2020 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is considering the 2020 Street Project which includes Quincy Street from County Road H2 to County Road I; and WHEREAS, Quincy Street from County Road H2 to County Road I is approximately 2,660 feet in length and maintenance has included seal coating, pothole patching and skim coating as needed; and WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has solicited a fee estimate proposal from Stantec for professional engineering services for the 2020 Street Project as follows: • Design/Construction Documents fee: $93,000 • Bidding fee: $4,000 • Construction Services/Survey fee: $37,000 • Record Plans fee $4,100 WHEREAS, funding for the design portion of the project would come from the Street Improvement Fund account, 485-4470-7050 with a 2019 budget amount of $55,000 for engineering Quincy Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City hereby approves the quote from Stantec Consulting Services of Minneapolis MN, for the 2020 Quincy Street Rehabilitation for a total estimated cost of $138,100. 2. The City Council approves the design portion of the proposal of Quincy Street from County Road H2 to County Road I, from the Street Improvement Fund, 485-4470- 7050. 3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. 4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
