RESOLUTION NO 9141 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR <br />BLAINE BACKES PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />WHEREAS, Blaine Backes has resigned as Public Works Maintenance Worker for <br />the City of Mounds View, his last day of employment was July 15, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backes agreed to submit his resignation provided the City <br />compensate him for three months' wages totaling $15,568.80, including the City's <br />employee benefit incentive for three months of $3,375; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backes' balance of accrued and unused vacation is 42.4 hours; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backes' balance of accrued and unused compensatory time is <br />4.29 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 27 of the Labor Agreement, Mr. Backes is <br />eligible to contribute 50% of unused sick leave to the Retirement Health Savings Plan <br />which totals 2.83 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backes' rate of pay upon resignation was $29.94 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves severance to Blaine Backes pursuant to the Labor Agreement between the City <br />of Mounds View and the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit as follows: <br />Hours <br />Hourly rate <br />Payout <br />3 Months Wage <br />520.00 <br />$29.94 <br />$15,568.80 cash payout <br />3 Months Benefits <br />$ 3,375.00 cash payout <br />Vacation Hours <br />42.40 <br />$29.94 <br />$ 1,269.46 cash payout <br />Comp Time <br />4.29 <br />$29.94 <br />$ 128.44 cash payout <br />Sick Leave <br />2.83 <br />$29.94 <br />$ 84.73 into RHSP <br />Total Severance: <br />$20,426.43 <br />Adopted this 22nd day of July, 2019. <br />Carol A.
