RESOLUTION NO. 9143 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A PREMISES PERMIT FOR LAKE REGION <br />HOCKEY ASSOCIATION TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE <br />GAMBLING AT MOE'S AMERICAN GRILL, <br />2400 MOUNDS VIEW BOULEVARD <br />WHEREAS, Lake Region Hockey Association has requested Council approval for <br />a premises permit to conduct charitable gambling at Moe's American Grill; and <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of government <br />pass a resolution specifically approving or denying a request to conduct charitable <br />gambling; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Region Hockey Association must maintain compliance with <br />all requirements of the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 518, with regard to charitable <br />gambling regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Region Hockey Association shall file a report to the City of <br />Mounds View on an annual basis proving compliance with the trade area spending <br />requirements specified in Section 518.12 of the City Code; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Mounds View to assist in the economic <br />prosperity of local business owners. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve a premises permit for the Lake Region Hockey Association to conduct <br />charitable gambling at Moe's American Grill, located at 2400 Mounds View Boulevard in <br />the City of Mounds View. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this permit may be revoked, or temporarily <br />suspended, for a violation by Lake Region Hockey Association of any state statute, state <br />rule, or City ordinance relating to gambling. <br />Adopted this 22nd day of July, 2019. <br />Carol A.
