RESOLUTION NO. 7310 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A Resolution Authorizing the Hire of Michael Strand to the Position of <br />Part Time Cable TV Technician <br />WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Part Time Cable TV <br />Technician was advertised; and, <br />WHEREAS, twelve applications were received for the position and six applicants were <br />chosen for interview; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Strand's skills and experience were determined to most closely <br />match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Part Time Cable TV Technician job <br />description; and, <br />WHEREAS, reference checks, driver's license check, and criminal background checks <br />have been completed. on Mr. Strand, and all checks are satisfactory; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Strand will begin employment on July 30, 2008 at Step 3 of the wage <br />scale as adopted herein below. <br />Ste 1 Ste 2 Ste 3 Ste 4 Ste 5 <br />$12.73/hour $13.53/hour $14.32/hour $15.12/hour $15.91/hour <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council appoints Mr. <br />Michael Strand to the position of Part Time Cable TV Technician. <br />NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves the salary scale for <br />the Part Time Cable TV Technician position as indicated herein, with a starting salary for Mr. <br />Strand at $14.32/hour (Step 3), with an increase to Step 4 of the salary range after one year of <br />employment, and Step 5 after two years of employment subject to City Council authorization. <br />Adopted t ' 28th d y of July, 2008. <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: ~ ~~ ~~ ~`--- <br />James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
