RESOLUTION NO. 7309 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW <br />COMMUNITY THEATRE, A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION TO CONDUCT <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW FESTIVAL IN THE <br />PARK CELEBRATION ON AUGUST 16 and 17, 2008 <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre has requested that the <br />City Council allow them to conduct charitable gambling (BINGO) at the Mounds <br />View City Park for the Mounds View Festival in the Park celebration; and <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of <br />government (city or county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying <br />requests to conduct charitable gambling; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre, is in compliance with <br />all requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable <br />gambling regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre has requested atwo- <br />day charitable gambling permit; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre will be conducting <br />BINGO for the Mounds View Festival in the Park celebration on August 16 and <br />17, 2008. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby authorize Mounds View Community Theatre, to conduct <br />charitable gambling at the Mounds View City Park on August 16 and 17, 2008, <br />located at 2401 Highway 10 in Mounds View. <br />Adopted ~ 28th of Jul , 2008. <br />Ro Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST` <br />J G'v'»'wJ <br />James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
