5. Revisions to Chapter 1125 were made to make the voting requirements <br />consistent with state law. Generally speaking, and except for comprehensive <br />plan amendments, the only type of matter that requires more than a simple <br />majority vote is a rezoning of residential property to commercial property. Again, <br />cities are generally preempted from coming up with different regulations than <br />those provided in Minn. Stat.
