RESOLUTION N0.7356 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE AND RECOMMEND A CANDIDATE FOR HIRE FOR THE <br />PUBLIC SERVICE OFFICER POSITON OPENING IN TWE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission maintains an eligibility <br />list for the Public Service Officer (PSO), and; <br />WHEREAS, this list has now expired, and the police department has a current opening <br />for this position as a result of the resignation of the current PSO, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Public Service Officer is an essential position to the operations of the <br />Police Department, and code enforcement responsibilities and having a replacement PSO in <br />place as soon as practical is critical to maintaining uninterrupted continuity of functional <br />Police and code enforcement operations, and; <br />WHERAS, the replacement PSO shall be hired from the new Civil Service eligibility <br />list. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve advertising to create a new eligibility list for the three-quarter (3/4) time <br />position of Public Service Officer for the City of Mounds View and authorizes staff to complete <br />the process of recommending a final candidate to the City Council for hire. <br />Adopted this 24th day of November 2008. <br />....,.~, <br />Rob arty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Jim Ericson, Clerk Administrator <br />
