Mounds View City Council December 9, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />2 G. Ordinance 969 — Second Reading and Order Summary Publication Title 900, <br />3 Chapters 906 and 907 relating to Water Meter Requirements and Sump <br />4 Pump Discharge. ROLL CALL VOTE <br />5 <br />6 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve Ordinance 969 related to water <br />7 meter requirements and sump pump discharge. He explained staff received no input from the <br />8 public since the First Reading. He commented further on the proposed replacement of the City's <br />9 water meters and recommended approval of the Ordinance. <br />10 <br />11 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br />12 969 and Order Summary Publication Title 900, Chapters 906 and 907 relating to Water Meter <br />13 Requirements and Sump Pump Discharge. <br />14 <br />15 Mayor Mueller reported the City has budgeted for the replacement of all water meters and <br />16 encouraged the public to work with City staff to have their water meter replaced in 2020, 2021 or <br />17 2022. <br />18 <br />19 ROLL CALL: Bergeron/Gunn/Hull/Meehlhause/Mueller. <br />20 <br />21 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />22 <br />23 H. Ordinance 971 — Second Reading and Order Summary Publication Title <br />24 1000, Chapter 1012 — Rental Housing Licensing. ROLL CALL VOTE <br />25 <br />26 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council adopt an ordinance relating to rental housing <br />27 licensing. He explained staff received no input from the public since the First Reading. He <br />28 commented further on the proposed rental housing licensing program and recommended approval <br />29 of the Ordinance. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Mueller questioned how rental property owners could learn about the Mounds View/New <br />32 Brighton property coalition meetings. Finance Director Beer explained mailings are sent out to <br />33 rental property owners regarding these meetings. <br />34 <br />35 MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause.
