ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Arel, Aukee, Palm, Rundle, Katovich 6:59 PM <br /> Staff: Peterson | YMCA: Thomas <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion by Aukee to approve. 2nd by Palm. Motion Passed 4-0 <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. May 24, 2018: Motion by Aukee to approve, 2nd by Rundle. Motion Passed 4-0 <br />B. Special Meeting Minutes June 5, 2018 Motion by Rundle to approve, 2nd by Arel. Motion <br />Passed 4-0 <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full name <br />and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present. <br />6. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. YMCA: See attached report. Getting ready for new fitness programming for adults this fall. <br />Discuss possibility of large groups renting the entire park (i.e. Silver View). Concern about <br />limited parking for public, and the group using spaces that were not officially rented (softball <br />field), are not able to be rented out (basketball court), as well as larger garbage haul-away. <br />Direct Staff to come back with a recommendation for further discussion. <br />B. Public Works / Forestry: See attached report. Katovich present. Look at tree trimming at Silver <br />View soccer fields and activity of disc golfers. If disc golf is down, it may be due to Ramsey <br />County ditch activity-could promote the course is open on social media. <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Update Greenfield & Groveland Tennis Court Rehab project: Contractor has started! Fencing <br />will be saved for other purposes. <br />8. NEW BUSINES <br />A. City Hall Park – Splash Pad/Play Ground: Need to rearrange position of splash pad and <br />playground/swing area due to electrical and water. Consider squeezing the three components <br />together or separating splash pad farther east away from playground. Staff will meet with MW <br />Playground to discuss layout options on Monday. Construction will not begin until after Festival <br />in the Park in August. <br />B. Review Park Improvement Plan Greenfield and City Hall Park: Will have MW Playground out to <br />inspect Greenfield playground along with City Staff and make recommendation. Where might <br />we be able to repurpose old City Hall playground equipment? Look at designs and ideas for <br />Veterans’ Memorial and reach out to area organizations for funding. <br />9. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: Have a safe 4th of July and be smart! <br />10. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINESS: Procedure for renting the <br />whole park. <br />11. ADJ OURNMENT: Motion by Palm to adjourn at 7:32, 2nd by Arel. Motion Passed 5-0. <br />Next Regular Commission Meeting: July 26, 2018 6:30pm
