STATE OF MINNESOTA SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY COURT FILE NUMBER 62-CV-11-1263 <br /> <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />In the Matter of the Appointment <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDER APPOINTING <br />CHARTER COMMISSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Charter Commission approved an amendment to its <br />Bylaws reducing the number of Commission members from eleven to nine; and, <br />WHEREAS, assuming a nine-member Commission, there are six current members and <br />three vacancies on the Mounds View Charter Commission, notices of the vacancies were provided, <br />and four applications were received and reviewed by the court; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 410.05, subds.1-3, an Order is required for <br />appointment to fill the open positions; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: <br />1. The court approves Mounds View Charter Commission’s amended Bylaws <br />reducing the number of Commission members from eleven to nine pursuant to Minn. Stat. § <br />410.05, subd.1 (“The commission shall be composed of not less than seven nor more than 15 <br />members, each of whom shall be a qualified voter of the city. The size of the commission shall be <br />determined within the above limits by the court”). <br />2. The following applicants are appointed as members of the Mounds View Charter <br />Commission for terms to expire on October 31, 2018, which expiration date maintains overlapping <br />terms for approximately 50% of the Commission members: Brandon D. Clawson, 8404 <br />Sunnyside Road, Mounds View, MN, 55112; Gregory L. Oberg, 8340 Pleasant View Drive,
