RESOLUTION 9230 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING BIDDING <br />FOR BUILDING REPAIRS AT WELLS 5 AND 6 <br />WHEREAS, as part of building maintenance, the City Council approved hiring <br />Inspec Engineering to perform both roof and block wall inspections in 2012 (Res 8020); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council in June of 2018 (Res 8983) approved hiring Inspec <br />to perform inspections on all City facilities and update the Roof and Masonry Wall <br />Management plans; and <br />WHEREAS, the updated wall management plan indicates repairs are needed to <br />the masonry walls at WTP 2/ Well 5 and WTP 3/Well 6; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff discussed with the City Council at Work Sessions <br />and Council meetings of these necessary repairs; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of the Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project these <br />repairs were budgeted into the overall project; and <br />WHEREAS, Inspec has provided a proposal for final design and construction <br />engineering services for the masonry repairs at a cost of $23,800; and <br />WHEREAS, the Water Treatment Rehabilitation overall budget has monies <br />budgeted for the masonry repairs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approve Inspec to complete the final design for the masonry repairs at WTP 2/Well <br />5 and WTP 3/ Well 6. <br />2. City Council authorizes the bidding for the required repairs. <br />3. Accepts the proposal from Inspec for the final design and construction inspections <br />for the masonry wall repairs at a cost of $23,800.00. <br />4.
