ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Arel, Aukee, Curry, Kroeger, *Kunz, Palm, Rundle <br /> Staff: Peterson, Nelson | YMCA: Thomas *to be absent <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Agenda approved 4-0 with Items 8A and B to follow 6A and B. <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />August 22, 2019 Minutes approved 2-0. Kroeger and Aukee abstained as they were not <br />present in August. <br />No September PR&F minutes – Meeting not held <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full <br />name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No public input. <br />6. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. YMCA <br /> Reviewed provided status report <br /> Youth in Government – Expecting 150-160 teens from 7 different Mounds View, <br />Roseville and Columbia Heights schools <br /> More senior programs starting in January 2020 <br /> Increased use of Fitness Center <br /> Pursuit Church supported collection of much food, fed 500 people with 30 volunteers <br />B. Public Works <br /> Reviewed provided activity report <br /> Closing of Silver View soccer field this summer helped re-establish field grass. Areas <br />in front of goals still are a challenge. <br />Followed by 8A and B <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Review Park Tours – City Hall Park Veterans Memorial <br /> Reviewed pictures of other memorials. <br /> Site Goals: No blockage of city signage and visible (not hidden) <br /> Site Location Options: 1. Located along trailway, west of city signage, in treed area; 2. <br />Over the current volleyball courts; 3. South of CH parking lot bearm in treed area. <br /> Next Steps: Call meeting with those previously expressing interest in pursuing the <br />memorial. <br />B. Dog Park – Review map area and criteria for a dog park <br /> Reviewed other site options – Greenfield Park (along Hillview and north side of park off <br />Quincy) <br /> Watershed runoff is a major consideration of site, driven by MN PCA MS4 Permitting <br />C. Comprehensive Park Plan Did not discuss in detail. Will remain as Unfinished Business. <br /> Random Park <br /> Greenfield Park <br /> <br />
