<br />Commission, deems that Section 3.01 of
<br />the Charter of the City of Mounds View Is

<br />CHARTER BY AMENDING SECTION
<br />5.07 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY
<br />OF MOUNDS VIEW AS TO THE REFER-
<br />ENDUM PROCESS AND RESOLUTIONS
<br />ADOPTED IN THE CITY.
<br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS:
<br />SECTION 1.
<br />The City Council of the City of Mounds
<br />View, pursuant to the recommendation of the
<br />City of Mounds View Charter Commission,
<br />deems that Section 5.07 of the Charter of the
<br />City of Mounds View is hereby amended by
<br />the deletion of the bold and stricken lan-
<br />guage as follows:
<br />Section 5:07. Referendum. Prior to the
<br />date when an ordinance or resolution takes
<br />effect, it :may be subjected to referendum by
<br />a petition which shall state at the head of
<br />each page, or attached thereto, the exact
<br />text of the measufa to be Considered by the
<br />ateatorate. If the petition is found to be suffi-
<br />cient under the provisions of Sectio n, 5.03 of
<br />this chapter, the said ordinance or resotutinn
<br />shall thereby be prevented from going into
<br />operation, and the subject mater o1 the pali-
<br />twn shall be placed on the ballot at the next
<br />election occurring in the City- If no election
<br />Is to occur wilhin 120 days after the filing of
<br />the petition, the Council shall call a special
<br />at action to be held within -such period• pro-
<br />viding the petition has been found to be suffi
<br />clent. I! a majority of the voters voting therm
