RESOLUTION 7374 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A <br />PODIUM FOR THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />WHEREAS, the current podium requires replacement because it is in poor repair <br />and it does not meet the needs of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City received proposals from three vendors for the purchase of a <br />custom podium to match the finish of the Council Chambers; and <br />WHEREAS, Wilkie Sanderson submitted the lowest cost proposal for acustom-built <br />podium at a cost of $1379.00; and <br />WHEREAS, K-Log had the lowest price for an off-the-shelf podium at a cost of <br />$599.85; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2008 cable budget includes $2000 in the Capital Equipment fund <br />(Account #210 - 4350 - 7030) for the purchase of a podium and other council chamber <br />improvements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View that staff is authorized to purchase a podium as specified in the proposal from Wilkie <br />Sanderson at a cost not to exceed $1,379.00. <br />Adopted this 8t" day of December, 2008. <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />J~,~- <br />Jim Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
