RESOLUTION 9239 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2020 F350 SERVICE PICKUP TRUCKS WHEREAS, the City has pickup trucks that are utilized for the Public Works Department to perform necessary maintenance; and WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly operate various tasks such as water main breaks, storm debris pick up and inspections in a timely manner; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Staff has been using a 2006 Ford 350 truck, unit #442 and the Park Department also has a 2006 F350 unit #310, and both units has have dump boxes; and WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received a quote off the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture from Midway Ford of Roseville MN for two (2) F350 regular cabs at a cost of $64,639.36; and WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received a quote off the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture from North Central Bus and Equipment of St. Cloud MN for dump boxes, hoist and other with options for a total cost of $34,573.72; and WHEREAS, Public Works Staff also recommends the purchase of the truck mounted debris loader from Doug's Power Equipment of Blaine MN for $5,370.35; and WHEREAS, the replacement of these vehicles is in the 2020 Budget to be taken from the Vehicle and Equipment fund 460-4470-7040, budgeted amount in the Street Department of $50,000.00, and the 460-4360-7040 Park Department of $54,000.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City hereby accepts the quote of $64,639.36 submitted by Midway Ford of Roseville MN not including sales tax or license fees. 2. The City hereby accepts the quote of $34,573.72 submitted by North Central Bus and Equipment of St. Cloud MN. 3.
