RESOLUTION 9247 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PROPOSALS FOR PAINTING, CARPET, AND A NEW ADMINISTRATION <br />ENTRANCE, AS PART OF PHASE 2 FOR THE CITY HALL / POLICE REMODEL <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved on May 13, 2019 the City Hall/Police Remodel; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council and Staff had discussed phase 2 of the remodel which <br />includes new carpet and painting of the entire City Hall; <br />WHEREAS, the 2020 budget in the Special Projects has funds for this project; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works received the following proposals: <br />Painting: <br />Patrick Miller Construction: $76,324.00 <br />RAK Construction: $71,717.00 <br />Nakasone: $37,356.25 <br />Carpet: <br />Patrick Miller Construction: $94,537.92 <br />RAK Construction: $66,989.00 <br />Cap Carpet & Flooring, LLC: $48,266.50 <br />New Administration Entrance: <br />Dering Pierson Group, LLC: $22,350.71 <br />Patrick Miller Construction: $19,172.00 <br />RAK Construction: $18,400.00 <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff is also recommending an allowance of $39,500.00 for a <br />new Administration entrance be approved along with $500.00 for wall panel covers; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works also further recommends funds of $11,612.00 be approved to <br />replace the Council Chambers guest chairs; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works also further recommends a contingency of $12,512.00 be <br />approved for any unforeseen issues that may arise during this project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Accepts the Proposal from Nakasone Painting of $37,356.25, for painting of the interior of <br />City Hall. <br />2.
