RESOLUTION 9242 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVAL FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE EVENT CENTER LIGHTING CONTROLS <br />AT THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br />WHEREAS, Staff has met with the YMCA Staff members regarding building alterations <br />for the Community Center and the ideas were presented to the YMCA Advisory Committee, and <br />WHEREAS, The Community Center Event Center Lighting Control are original (1997) and <br />have been malfunctioning for the past several months, and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has had contractors making repairs to keep the lighting control <br />functioning, however it has become obvious that the lighting control is in need of replacement; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received two quotes to replace the lighting and <br />hardware. RAK Construction for $22,800.00 and O'Neill Electric Inc. for $18,670.20. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the quote from O'Neill Electric Inc. of Stillwater, MN to replace the Event <br />Center Lighting Controls at the Mound View Community Center at a cost of $18,670.20 <br />to be funded from account 480-4180-7050, Special Projects. <br />2. Staff also recommends a 10% contingency of $1,867.02 for any unforeseen issues <br />that may arise. <br />3. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and <br />directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in <br />order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 24nd day of February, 2020 <br />Carol A.
