RESOLUTION 9249 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDING PURCHASING POLICY TO INCLUDE ENVIRONMENTAL <br />PURCHASING REQUIREMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View strives to be environmental stewards; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of the GreenStep Cities Program, participants must adopt a policy <br />stating that when possible and practible, that the city purchase Energy Start or EPEAT <br />appliances or equipment and paper containing post -consumer recycled content; and <br />WHEREAS, adoption of this policy will benefit the environment and over time, <br />reduce our waste impact and increase our energy efficiency; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approve resolution 9249. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota approves Resolution 9249. <br />Adopted this 9t" day of March, 2020 <br />Carol A Mueller, Mayor <br />ATTEST: A'�' " <br />Nyl ikm d, rity Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
