The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVING OF UP TO $2,000,000 ZERO INTERST LOAN <br />FUNDS FROM THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY TO FUND <br />PORTIONS OF THE HOPP PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Council adopted the Water Preservation <br />Program in the spring of 2019; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, components of the program include reducing the amount of inflow and <br />infiltration into the wastewater system; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, televising and slip lining (or complete replacement) of lateral sewer <br />lines will, over time; will reduce the amount of infiltration into the system; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has a zero interest loan <br />program that can be used to fund the inspection and rehabilitation costs; and, <br /> <br />Whereas, the City of Mounds View has been awarded the loan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby accept the loan, up to the $2,000,000 threshold and authorize approval of the <br />Loan Agreement with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th Day of January, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Carol A.
