The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9248 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />ADOPTING A CALENDAR FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2021 BUDGET <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City’s Charter and Code as well as State Statutes set forth various <br />requirements for considering and adopting components of the City’s budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 7.04 of the City Charter requires the City Administrator to submit to the <br />City Council a budget calendar to be established by resolution, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the calendar is an approximate schedule of when these actions will take place <br />but is not an absolute timeline. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that <br />the following budget calendar is hereby adopted: <br /> <br /> <br />May 4, 2020 City Council discusses budget priorities at a work session. <br /> <br />May 28, 2020 Summary of General Fund operating budget requests delivered to City <br />Council. <br /> <br />June 1, 2020 City Council reviews General Fund budget at work session. <br /> <br />August 24, 2020 City Council adopts preliminary 2021 property tax levy or defers to <br />September 14th meeting and sets date for the Truth in Taxation Public <br />Hearing. <br /> <br />Oct. 5, 2020 City Council reviews other funds and utility rate study at a work session. <br /> <br />Nov. 9, 2020 City Council considers utility rates for 2021. <br /> <br />Dec. 7, 2020 Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Dec. 14, 2020 Continuation Hearing and adoption of 2021 budget and tax levy. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted March 9, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Carol A.
