ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Kunz, Palm, Kroeger, Aukee, Peterson <br /> Staff: Dazenski | YMCA: Danielson <br />3. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br />A. Oath of Office for Commission Members (Long). Not present. <br />4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion to approve by Palm 2nd by Peterson. Motion Passed 5-0 <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. January 26, 2012 Meeting Minutes. Motion to approve by Kroeger, 2nd by Kunz. Motion <br />Passed 5-0. <br />6. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full <br />name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present. <br />7. YMCA REPORT <br />A. MVMatters is out and coming to homeowners soon. New programs include art, lacross, <br />and fitness. Summer soccer, t-ball, and softball league registrations due April 27th. <br />Rally Day March 3rd from 10 am-12 pm Summer kick-off to register for summer park <br />program <br />Spring Fling April 14th for sample classes and summer program discounts. <br />Event Center is booked Saturdays April through September 2012. <br />Music-in-the-Park bookings include Northwest Suburban Concert Band, Teddy Bear Band, <br />and potentially the Percolators. <br />B. Discuss Coach of the Year Award: two nominations received. Will be asking for more to <br />review next month. <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Discuss Trailway and Sidewalk System: We need to define walking/biking/trailway <br />terminology. If there is a sidewalk, but not enough space for a bike lane on the roadway, <br />how do we define that? Need to determine signage. Currently do not have any rules about <br />pedestrian and bike directions (walking on right, biking on left side of roadway). Kroeger will <br />reconcile 1992 plan with current proposal for next meeting. <br />B. Discuss Ice Hockey and Skating Rink Improvements at Hillview Park: Need to look at <br />potential elevation correction. May move it a bit south, which would involve moving the <br />existing light poles. Considering aglime base similar to Lambert Park rink, which is usable in <br />summer. Once we determine exactly what to do, the project should take about a month. <br />Much work can be in-house, but some contractor work will be required. Need to make sure <br />any melting from the rink will be absorbed by existing drainage. Want September <br />construction. We need to discuss specifics and make recommendations by June meeting. <br />Discuss costs at March meeting, and draft layout at April meeting. <br />9. NEW BUSINESS
