ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Arel, Aukee*, Katovich*, Kunz, Kroeger, Palm, Long <br /> Staff: Dazenski, DeBar* | YMCA: Danielson <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion to approve by Kunz, 2nd by Palm. Motion Passed 5-0 <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. June 27, 2013 Meeting Minutes: Motion to approve by Kroeger, 2nd by Kunz. Motion <br />Passed 5-0 <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full <br />name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present <br />6. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. YMCA: Summer Program increasing over the summer, but still down in numbers from last <br />year. Fall Soccer registrations due Friday. Music-in-the-Park had hot weather, but good <br />family turnout. Last event is Thursday, August 15 before Festival in the Park. Family Fun <br />Run will be Aug. 17th. MVCC is being used with gym and Event Center. Looking at new <br />funding for a teen program, new vending options, new computer lab, and Silver Sneakers <br />launch coming soon. BBC funding allowed for free coffee at MVCC. <br /> How is online registration working? About 10-15% of residents register online. Most are in <br /> person. <br /> Building rental update: Silverview is in high demand. Lambert is picking up. Random is <br /> popular. Hillview and Groveland are back-up rental buildings that people may choose if <br /> the others are booked. Direct Staff to gather more data on building rental numbers. <br />B. Public Works: Silverview playground installation will begin Monday, July 29th and take about <br />5 days. Working on irrigation repairs and modifications, park maintenance, and spraying for <br />weeds. Trees will be planted at Silverview Park once playground is installed. Seeing less <br />litter at disc golf course. Groveland Park will eventually have irrigation, changes in <br />landscape, turf improvements including removing volleyball court. Need to install <br />perimeters at the playground area and volleyball courts. Need to remove sand from <br />Random, Groveland, and City Hall playgrounds and put in fiberfill. <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Review Park Improvement Plan: Still need clarification about funding sources for roof <br />replacement at Hillview and the Greenfield Park parking lot. What items are staff able <br />to address yet this year? <br />8. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Recommend Expenditures for Upcoming Bethlehem Baptist Church Disbursement: Ideas <br />include flooring at Groveland and Hillview, furniture at Random and Groveland, lighting/park <br />security, picnic tables and trash container replacement, grills at various parks. Motion by <br />Kroeger, 2nd by Arel to recommend the following as potential items for funding from <br />Bethlehem Baptist Church: flooring at Groveland Park, furniture at Random Park,
