Please limit your comments to three minutes. <br />• No Residents present to provide input <br />•••• STAFF REPORTS <br />• YMCA <br />• Reviewed good summary provided by Nate Danielson of YTD 2011, 2012 and 2013 <br />Program Participation, Events Revenue, Community Event Revenue, Gym/CC <br />Revenue, and Field and Park Rentals. Also historical winter season (Nov-Mar) of Park <br />Bldg Rentals and Ice Rink Usage. <br />• Historical Park Bldg Rental and Ice Rink Usage indicated limited usage of Groveland <br />Shelter and Rink, to allow closing down for the 2013/2014 winter season. <br />• Motion to close Groveland Ice Rink for 2013/2014 skating season (Arel, 2nd Long), <br />Approved 4-0 <br />• Motion to close and winterize Groveland Shelter for 2013/2014 winter season (Long, 2nd <br />Arel). Approved 4-0. PW will determine if a full shutdown is feasible and report back. <br />• Commission will review this approach for the 2014/2015 winter season based on shelter <br />requests and other feedback collected by YMCA and received by Commission by <br />residents. <br />• Public Works <br />• Reviewed PDP for 2014 plans at Silverview Park and 2015 plans at Groveland Park <br />• Portion of Arden Ave. will be reconstructed in 2014 (Red Oak Dr. to Long Lake Rd). <br />Commission reviewed configuration options. Bikeway and Sidewalk options along full <br />length of Arden are limited. <br />• Commission consensus was to proceed with Option B1 (Two 11’ driving lanes; One 8’ <br />lane shared between parking, walking and biking use; No off-street sidewalk). <br />HOWEVER, Commission would prefer sidewalk (and shared zone) along full length of <br />Arden.
