Item No. 8A <br />M E M O R A N D U M <br />To: Parks & Recreation & Forestry Commissioners <br />From: Nick DeBar – Director of Public Works & <br />Date: July 24, 2014 <br />RE: Consider Recommendation to Appoint Gary Rundle to Commission <br />There are currently two vacant seats on the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission. The current <br />status of Commission memberships are as follows: <br />Seat Commission Member Term Expiration <br />A1 Dave Long 12-31-2014 <br />A2 Gerald Arel 12-31-2014 <br />A3 Dale Aukee 12-31-2014 <br />B1 John Kroeger 12-31-2015 <br />B2 Steven Katovich 12-31-2015 <br />B3 vacant 12-31-2015 <br />C1 Jerry Kunz 12-31-2016 <br />C2 Cindy Palm 12-31-2016 <br />C3 vacant 12-31-2016 <br />In May 2014, the City received an application from Gary Rundle to join the Commission (see attached). <br />Traditionally, the Commission has reviewed applicants and recommended appointments to the City Council. <br />These recommendations are forwarded to the City Council for consideration. <br />The City Council is anticipated to make consider Mr. Rundle’s application at their upcoming July 28, 2014 <br />regular meeting. If appointed, Mr. Rundle will fill seat B3.
