ROLL CALL: <br />Commissioners: Arel, Aukee, Katovich, Kroeger, Kunz, Long, Palm, Rundle, Roste <br /> Staff: Erikson Peterson | YMCA: Danielson <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion to approve by Palm, 2nd by Arel. Motion Passed 6-0 <br /> <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. May 28, 2015: Motion to approve by Kunz, 2nd by Rundle. Motion Passed 6-0 <br /> <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full <br />name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present. <br /> <br />6. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. YMCA: See attached report. MVCC is very busy with summer programs. Music-in-the-Park <br />July 16: Teddy Bear Band. Movies-in-the-Park July 9 Spy Children’s Movie. Moving from <br />ActiveNet to YMCA computer registration. There have been some glitches, but things seem <br />to be fixed. <br />B. Public Works: See attached report. Working with some properties near Silverview Park <br />regarding easements for the trailway. MCES Sewer Interceptor Project had to go out to <br />re-bid. <br /> <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Continue review of Groveland Park 2015 Improvements – tennis court surface <br />1. Quote form Upper Midwest Athletic Construction is $42K for tennis court and basketball <br />court. Motion by Rundle, 2nd by Arel to recommend moving forward with Upper <br />Midwest Athletic Construction to resurface tennis and basketball courts at <br />Groveland Park as bid at $42,000. Motion Passed 6-0. Colors green with white <br />stripes <br />B. Hillview Hockey Rink – layout, rink light repairs. Discuss at July meeting. Direct Staff to <br />get an aerial view to help with layout discussion in July. <br /> <br />8. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Installing safety net at City Hall ball field. Resident witnessed a ball hit at a game at the park <br />that went out to County Road 10 and almost hit a motorist. This is a very rare occurrence. <br />Any netting installed would not prevent a ball getting hit that high for a ball to go as far as <br />County Road 10. There are already trees in the outfield. Liability lies with the batter, not the <br />city. Direct Staff to log any future occurrences to determine frequency. <br /> <br />9. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: NONE <br /> <br />10. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINESS <br />A. Next BBC meeting to request funding items. <br />B. Graffiti on sound wall on Long Lake Road. This is Ramsey County’s responsibility to remove. <br />Ask Staff to contact them about this issue. <br /> <br />11. ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn at 7:37 PM by Rundle, 2nd by Palm.
