ROLL CALL: <br />Commissioners: Arel, Aukee*, Katovich, Kroeger, Kunz, Long*, Palm, Rundle, Roste <br /> Staff: Erickson, Peterson | YMCA: Danielson *to be absent <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Move 9C to 7A. Motion to approve as amended by Palm, 2nd by <br />Katovich. Motion Passed. 7-0 <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />A. Tour of Random Park Shelter 5:30p.m. <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. January 28, 2016: Motion to approve by Kunz, 2nd by Kroeger. Motion Passed 7-0 <br />6. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full <br />name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present. <br />7. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. YMCA: See attached report. <br />1. Coach of the Year: Motion to award Candidate 1 as Coach of the Year by Kunz, 2nd by <br />Rundle. Motion Passed. 7-0. <br />B. Public Works: See attached report. <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINES <br />A. Groveland Park – 2015 Improvements – update. Looking for ways to soften the interior and <br />make it more welcoming. Suggested flooring: Tile in bathrooms and kitchen: $3876.67 <br />Carpet: $2787. Direct Staff to continue to look for different cost options. <br />B. Hillview Hockey Rink – continue discussion of layout, rink light repairs – (No update at this <br />time). Contractor will come out to give a quote before next meeting. <br />C. City Hall Park - continue discussion on splash pad, playground, picnic area and shelters, <br />rest rooms, changing areas – Direct Staff to break down each area: playground, picnic <br />shelter, and splash pad so we can pick and choose components and prioritize. <br />D. Random Park Building improvement – discussion from earlier tour of building. Interior <br />issues seem to be more cosmetic: painting walls and modernizing the kitchen by removing <br />the cabinets and putting in a counter. Leave wall in place, perhaps, for now. Direct Staff to <br />investigate outside needs structurally-are there other issues underneath the boards that we <br />don’t know about? Get costs for siding and exterior improvements for next meeting so we <br />can make decisions. <br /> <br />
