APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Motion by Aukee, second by Kroeger, passes 6-0 <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />A. Reappointment Oath for John Kroeger by Don Peterson <br />B. Reappointment Oath for Gary Rundle, by Don Peterson <br />C. New Appointment Oath for Roscoe Curry by Don Peterson <br />D. Selection of Chair, Vice Chair and Recording Secretary <br />Chair – Arel, Vice Chair – Rundle, Secretary – Palm, <br />Motion by Aukee, second by Rundle, passes 6-0 <br /> <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. November 15, 2018 - Motion by Kroeger, second by Rundle, passes 6-0 <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC INPUT - None present <br /> <br />7. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. YMCA – See attached, Arel had questions about Music in the Park – No Movies and Music will be held <br />in conjunction with the Festival in the Park <br />B. Public Works – See attached, <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Trails and Sidewalks – Looking at sidewalk on Wooddale Drive – Recommend add sidewalk from <br />Groveland to Pleasant View Drive on Mounds View Blvd. Aukee brought up bridge access to Greenfield <br />Park now that Rice Creek has re-profiled the ditch. <br />B. Youth Member appointed to the Commission – status – No applications yet. <br /> <br />9. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Comprehensive Plan – survey results – Discuss trail connections at various places to complete trails, <br />Particularly Spring Lake Road, Trail to Lakeside Park, Trails along H and J. Also add Benches and <br />Garbage cans along trails. Also noted was the Splash Pad. Arel brought up Woodcrest Park and <br />Bathrooms not open in park shelters and concerns about Silverview Pond and the disc golf course. <br />B. Spring Lake – Discussion on re-opening beach for swimming – SLP is looking for MV to provide <br />management for the beach area, Don Peterson feels the Joint Task Force would need to be re-instated. <br />C. Greenfield Park – Ball Diamond Infield, request for improvements (e-mail) – We discussed the removal <br />of grass and raising home plate to alleviate water standing at home plate. <br />D. T- Ball Filed at City Hall Park – May have to remove some trees. <br /> <br />10. COMMISSIONER REPORTS – Arel asked about completion of the Splash Pad, Peterson estimates <br />by May 29th, Memorial Weekend. <br />11. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINES <br />12.
