Become a Friend! A
very good Friend!
and Watson. Visitors can ride by horse-drawn wagon to join an 1800 rendezvous.
Kilen Woods State Park/Prairie Bush Clover Scientific and Natural Area In
Jackson County south of Windom, these prairies harbor the world's largest population
of the endangered Prairie Bush Clover.
Agassiz Dunes Natural Area near Fertile in southern Polk County offers sand hill dunes
and the Oak Sand Savanna, one of Minnesota's most rare prairie types.
For further information, contact Peter Buesseler, DNR Prairie Biologist, (218) 739-7576
or DNR Information Center (218) 296-6157.
The Friends of St. Paul and Ramsey County Parks is a membership organization. In
fact, without our members we aren't even an organization! If you care about parks in our
community you are invited to become a card carrying Friend. A basic membership is
$10. Supporting memberships are $20,$25, or ? (the sky's the limit). Make your check
out to Friends of St. Paul and Ramsey County Parks, and mail it to 1621 Beechwood
Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55116. If you are already a member but have not yet
renewed your membership please make your annual contribution today.
. The Friends is a very, reheat, very low budget organization. Our expenses for
1987-88 were just under $10,000. We rely on volunteers to accomplish many of our
objectives. But no organization runs on nothing. (Another way of saying that every
volunteer organization needs m o n e y.) Our current fund balance is at an all time low
so this would be an excellent time to nuke a financial contribution to an organization
that does not pledge to save whales but does pledge to save and enhance your parks.
The Friends of St. Paul and Ramsey County Parks
Non -Profit Org.
1621 Beechwood Avenue
U.S. Postage
St. Paul, Minnesota 55116
Paid
St. Paul,MN
Return Address Requested
Permit No. 3413
------ --- -- -- -
$rY 5sarion
Park & Recreatio
Mounds View Cit Director
2401 Hi ghw$Y IQ Y Hall
Mounds View, MN 55112
