The Friends of St. Paul and Ramsey County Parks is a membership organization. In fact, without our members we aren't even an organization! Our expenses for 1987-88 were just under $10,000. We rely on volunteers to accomplish many of our objectives. But no organization runs on nothing. (Another way of saying that every volunteer organization needs m o n e y.) Our current fund balance is at an all time low so this would be an excellent time to nuke a financial contribution to an organization that does not pledge to save whales but does pledge to save and enhance your parks.
