Memo To :Mary Saarion, Director of Parks and Recreation
From :Ric Minetor, City Engineer/Director of Public Works
Date :September 21, 1989
L
Subject :Greenfield Park Baseball Field Expansion
I have developed a rough estimate of the cost of extending the
right field line to 300 feet. The main cost is the piping and
filling of the ditch adjacent to right field. I assumed a total
of 200 feet of ditch will need to be piped. The cost of the pie,
fill, and turf establishment is approximately $25,000. The major
cost is the fill required which accounts for $17,000 of the
total. This is a rough estimate and should not be relied upon for
project cost, the intent is only as a preliminary study cost to
determine if this option should be studied in detail. The actual
costs could be as much as twice the estimate or possibly as
little as half the estimate; the range could be considered to be
$12,500 to $40,000.
