-3- <br />11. How do you rate the park facilities? <br />12. What is the greatest need in the Mounds View <br />parks at this time? <br />Director Saarion stated that she intends to add <br />several questions relating to recreation programs and <br />demographics. The Commission also requested that <br />a question be added regarding the residents interest <br />in a Community Center. <br />SILVER VIEW PARK <br />PICNIC SHELTER Director Saarion reviewed the progress at the Silver <br />View Park shelter building site as follows: <br />1. The foundation is completed and the sewer is <br />stubbed in. The water and plumbing services have <br />been installed. <br />2. Construction of the wall has begun. <br />3. The slab will be poured on Monday or Tuesday. <br />Director Saarion stated that the restoration work <br />such as seeding will be done in the spring of 1990. <br />GREENFIELD PARK <br />BASEBALL FIELD Director Saarion stated that the information <br />regarding proposed baseball field improvements was <br />given to MVAA representative Neal Valley. He will <br />use them to help solicit funds from local <br />organizations to assist the funding of the proposed <br />improvements. <br />OAKWOOD PARK <br />IMPROVEMENTS Staff reviewed the progress to date at Oakwood <br />Park. The sand volleyball court and horsehoe pits <br />will be installed. <br />
