Dear Friend:
This parks gift catalog for community recreation is designed to provide individuals as well as service
organizations, clubs — even corporations — the opportunity to contribute to the quality of park and
recreation services in the City of Scottsdale.
Gifts may fill special needs that fall just outside our budgets or projects that arise out of new trends in
recreational play. Some projects will make a park look better; others will make it work better and still others
will make people feel better. Your gift will make you feel better, we guarantee it.
We invite you to carefully consider the items described in the following pages as an opportunity for you to
provide a tax-deductible gift to your friends and fellow citizens of Scottsdale.
In addition to any special recognition for your gift that we could give you, you will be giving yourself an
especially warm feeling — the feeling that comes from providing a lasting gift which can be appreciated by
hundreds of people every day for years to come.
I would like to be of service to you or your organization in helping you select a suitable project and carrying
it through to its completion. Please call me at 994-2457.
BOB FROST
RECREATION DIRECTOR
Playground
Equipment:
Children's play equipment receives
heavy use. Manufacturers have
created many new play experiences
utilizing materials such as wood,
concrete and steel. Pima, Eldorado
and Agua Linda Parks need
replacement pieces and we have
three new parks in the North Area
that will soon need play equipment.
Cost Ranges from $400 for a slide
or swing to $10,000 for a complete
playground.
