The next planned project for Lakeside will be
improvements to the ballfield which may include
rotating the field, grading, fencing and sprinkling
system.
Chairperson Burmeister stated that when traveling in
the south, particularly Texas, he had seen an "adopt
a highway" program in progress. He asked that staff
look into the possibility of an "adopt a park"
program for the City of Mounds View. The program
would consist of an organization, church group, or
individuals "adopting" a park and spending a
weekend or so picking up litter or other
maintenance. The City would provide the litter bags
and pick up the trash at a designated area the
following Monday.
