MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: CLERK -ADMINISTRATOR <br />DATE: MAY 22, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: PROPOSED RESPONSES TO 1990 SURVEY RESULTS <br />Staff has reviewed and discussed the results of the 1990 City <br />Survey in an effort to develop a proposed set of responses. <br />In some cases, e.g. Precinct 2's dissatisfaction with level of <br />information on City, staff was unable to develop a specific <br />response due to the lack of detailed reasons for the results. <br />We have listed out by principal subject matter the responses <br />we propose and would request Council direction. <br />], Public Information/Ci.ty Newsletter - Clearly there <br />are groups of residents dissatisfied with the level of <br />information they receive about the City. in two cases, <br />these groups are made up of people (Precinct 2 and 6- <br />10 year residents) who are the largest readers of the <br />City Newsletter. <br />Suggested responses are, <br />a. More in-depth and timely information. in the City <br />Newsletter about property taxes, in particular, <br />the City's share._ <br />b. Did You Know?" articles in the City Newsletter on <br />property taxes and the value of specific services <br />provided by the City. <br />C. Expanded efforts to report on current and future <br />issues of importance in the Newsletter. <br />d. A city brochure for new residents. <br />e.
