PRELIMINARY PARKLAND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM <br />SILVER VIEW COMMUNITY PARK <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />MARCH, 1990 <br />FACILITY: <br />Establish a continuous trail around Silver View Park pond. <br />PRIMARY ACTIVITY/FUNCTION: <br />To provide a pathway completely around the pond to give hikers a <br />continuous hiking experience around the entire pond area. <br />PLAN DESCRIPTION: <br />The purpose of the trail is for hiking and a looped continuous trail is <br />recommended. The connection will provide the normal design standards <br />of a trail. <br />RECREATION CRITERIA: <br />Must provide a designated trail which is continuous in nature and does <br />not require a hiker to turn around and back -track on the trail system. <br />GENERAL MAINTENANCE CRITERIA: <br />Replenish woodchips on path. Spray path for weeds. Maintain culverts. <br />Install weed barrier on new installations. <br />GENERAL DESIGN CRITERIA: <br />Woodchip surface pathway. Installation of a culvert at the western inlet. <br />Easement at Scotland Green property. Completion of section on the <br />southwest side and along the Scotland Green Apartment Complex. <br />24 <br />
