GOLF COURSE <br />UPDATE: Director Saarion updated the Commission on the <br />bids received for the construction of the golf <br />course and announced that the recommended company <br />is Veit, of whom have had good references. Also, <br />Williams, Gill and Assoc. has taken much time to <br />review the bid items. They are confident that the <br />bid is a good one and that Veit will do a good <br />job. <br />PARK CLEANUP <br />ACTIVITIES: Director Saarion announced that Saturday, April 23 <br />is the Clean-up Day and that several scout troops <br />will. be cleaning the neighborhood parks, Silver <br />Lake Woods Homeowners Assoc. will clean up Silver <br />View and the EQC will be cleaning up Groveland <br />Park. <br />SPECIAL <br />PRESENTATION: Chairperson Burmeister was presented with a plaque <br />thanking him for all his work on the surveying <br />details of Silver View Park path paving last <br />summer, 1993. Wayne saved the City a lot of money <br />which would have had to been contracted out at <br />hefty costs. Much appreciation to Wayne! <br />THANKS TO <br />REG ASST.: Also, thanks to all the Commissioners who helped <br />during youth athletic registrations on Saturday, <br />March 16 including Scott Dentz, Pam Starr, Gary <br />Stevenson and Dave Long. The registration went <br />smoothly because of their assistance. <br />REVIEW PARK <br />NAMING RES.: Director Saarion had a second draft of the <br />resolution for naming of parks and park facilities <br />for Commission review. It is short and sweet. <br />The Commission thought that it was fine and will <br />be presented at the April 4 work session. <br />ADJOURNNMENT: Commissioners adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m. <br />
