GREENFIELD PARR - RESTORATION OF INTERCEPTOR AREA
The Blaine interceptor has been installed at Greenfield Park
area. The pathway has been removed and needs to be re -installed.
We have been promised the installation of large pine trees along
the east border of Greenfield Park property which will act as a
natural screen to the junkie back yards the four plexes. This
area was previously meadowland with pine seedlings planted by
Pinewood students over the years, most of which have been removed
during the interceptor project.
The EQC has recommended that the City provide greenways and
wildflower areas. I think that this area would be a perfect
place to re-establish as a greenway. In addition, perhaps the
Parks and Recreation Commission would like to sponsor an "Adopt
the Wildflowers" program which would ask groups to help in the
establishment of a wildflower area along the pathway meadowlands
of Greenfield Park.
