17) Adult <br />4 -Man Passing <br />AcwrvVI-Iles <br />Football Lea ue <br />This is a modified game of touch football which is <br />designed to be low-key and recreational in nature with <br />as little physical contact as <br />possible. This league is open <br />,. to anyone 18 years and older. A <br />team may have no more than <br />eight players on their roster. <br />Fee is $40.00 per team <br />Plus $5.00 per player for each non-resident <br />of Mounds View. There are no game officials. The <br />honor system of calling violations will be used. <br />Games are played on Sunday Afternoons, sched- <br />uled around the Vikings games beginning Septem- <br />ber 20 and running for six weeks. Roster and fees <br />must be received by Friday, September 11, 1998, in <br />order for a team to be considered registered. A manag- <br />ers packet of information will be mailed to each team <br />with rules, regulations, and schedules. A minimum of <br />4 teams is needed. A mandatory managers meeting <br />will be held on Thursday, September 17, at 7:00 pm. <br />Mounds View <br />Garden Club <br />If you enjoy working in the garden and appreciate <br />beautiful flowers, perhaps you would be interested in <br />joining the Mounds View <br />■ r Garden Club. This group of <br />Mounds View residents plan <br />P"J the perennial gardens at City <br />N. *41kA Hall, order the flowers in the <br />Spring and plant them. They <br />continue to tend the gardens <br />during summer. The <br />W perennial flower bed is <br />prepared for the winter in Autumn. If you are interested <br />in being a part of this group, please call Diane Wuori <br />at 786-1939. <br />Congratulations to the Mounds View Garden <br />Club for the Beautiful Perennial Flower Garden <br />at City Hall. Games are not refereed, but the honor system <br />of calling fouls is used. Team rosters <br />,:7 --may be up to six players. A practice <br />�CC �+� night is scheduled on Monday, <br />�1, September 21, games will begin <br />6 September 22. An eight week game <br />schedule will be developed. Registra- <br />tion deadline is Wednesday, Sep- <br />tember 16, 1998. First place will receive individual <br />awards. Games will be held at Edgewood Middle <br />School. <br />Fee is $40.00 plus $5.00 per player for each <br />non-resident of Mounds View. To be considered a <br />resident a player must live or work full-time within the <br />city limits of Mounds View. Minimum of 6 teams and <br />a maximum of 16 teams. <br />Tai Chi Chill <br />(Joy Through Movement) <br />Tai Chi Chih is not a martial art. It is more of a <br />moving meditation consisting of 19 movements and 1 <br />pose. The movements -are gentle and non -strenuous. <br />They relieve stress, help to relax and rejuvenate the <br />body while refreshing the mind. It helps balance the <br />intrinsic energy, the life force known as Chi. Some <br />beneficial physical results from regular practice of Tai <br />Chi Chih include improved breathing, circulation and <br />flexibility, helps to balance blood pressure and im- <br />proves the range of motion for persons suffering from <br />arthritis symptoms.
