MEMO <br />To: Parks and Recreation Commissioners <br />From: Mary Saarion <br />Subject: Softball damage claim to car on Cty Rd I <br />Date: August 19, 1998 <br />A damage claim was submitted to the League of Minnesota Insurance Trust for damages to a <br />man's car as he drove by Silver View Park on County Road I. The hood of the car was hit by a <br />softball making a dent. The claim was sent to the insurance providers for the City - League of <br />MN Insurance Trust. After investigation, the city was notified that they did not determine the <br />City as liable and therefore refused the claim. The gentleman is continuing to pursue damage <br />payment from the City. It is speculated that the man will attend the City Council meeting on <br />Monday, August 24 to discuss the incident and seek damage payment. I will keep you informed <br />of this matter. <br />
