GOLF COURSE TASK FORCE
MEETING # 19
MINUTES
Tuesday, February 1, 1994
CALL TO
ORDER: Chairperson Jerry Peterson called the meeting to
order at 6:06.p.m.
ROLL CALL: Members present included Jerry Peterson, Phil
Seipp, Mark Malone, and Mary Saarion. John Kohler
from Runyon/Vogel was also present.
MINUTES: Minutes were approved by consensus.
REVIEW
BLDG PLANS: John Kohler reviewed the revised plans which
incorporated the suggestions from the last
meeting. The list of materials was also reviewed.
Changes were made regarding use of carpet vs.
vinyl or concrete in closets and snack area.
Alternates were also discussed in case we had
money to spare.
John reviewed the timeline indicating that the
maintenance building needed to be up and running
by August 15. The construction of both buildings
would be simultaneous. It was agreed that John
should look into preconstructed materials such as
Lester or Morton buildings to see whether or not
there would be a cost savings for the maintenance
building. If so additional monies could be spent
in the Clubhouse. John will look into this
option.
John will meet with the City Council to review the
plans and will then prepare the construction
documents and has a construction company estimate
the cost.
John requested staff to look into a letter of
agreement or annexation processes to begin for the
so that construction documents can be approved by
the City of Mounds View rather than both Blaine
and the City of Mounds View. Mary said that she
would relay the need the Samantha Orduno so that
this can be worked out.
