Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Agenda <br />April 22, 2004 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />Roll Call <br />2. Approval of minutes from the March 18, 2004 meeting. <br />*Note: Staff will be proposing to the City Council to have the same professional service provide the <br />minutes for Park and Recreation Meetings as is currently being done for Planning Commission Meetings <br />and City Council Meetings. This will be done as part of the 2005 Budget proposal. Until then, due to Staff <br />time restraints, "executive minutes" which simply summarize each topic with a couple sentences and <br />documents all motions will be used. <br />Rick Wriskey, the City Forester, will be present at the May 27`x' meeting. <br />4. Residents near the Greenfield Park have requested to address the Park and Recreation Commission. <br />5. Unfinished Business: <br />a) Facility Guide Update <br />b) Park Usage Survey / Data Collection — any up dates? A request for volunteers to assist the city in <br />collecting information and filling out the Park Usage Observation Sheet was placed in the March / <br />April addition of the Mounds View Matters. The observation sheet along with a guidance <br />information printed on the back are available at City Hall and on the City's WEB site. At of this <br />date no requests for the sheets have been made. <br />c) Community Survey — Shari Kunza developed a questioner, which was included in the May/June <br />addition of the Mounds View Matters. <br />d) YMCA Committee Update <br />e) Groveland Park Building Replacement. —This issue has been placed on the May 3, 2004 City <br />Council Work Session Agenda. <br />I) Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot— This was included in the 2003 Street Improvement Project as a <br />bid alternate. Should the City Councils of Mound View and Spring Lake Park wish to proceed with <br />the parking lot project, they will need to award it to the contractor. Awarding the contract is <br />scheduled for May 24, 2004. <br />4. New Business: <br />a) Application for the vacant seat —Deadline to apply was 4:30pm April 19, 2004. Only one application <br />was received. (Attached) <br />5. Commissioner/Staff Reports <br />( a) Lakeside Lions Park Fishing Pier Update <br />i 6.
