RESOLUTION 9286 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE PROPOSAL FOR THE NEW CITY HALL ADMINISTRATION ENTRANCE AS PART OF THE PHASE 2 - REMODEL OF CITY HALL WHEREAS, the City Council approved at the May 13, 2019 the City Hall/Police Remodel; and WHEREAS, the City Council and Staff had discussed phase 2 of the remodel which includes new carpet and painting and a new Administration entrance; and WHEREAS, the 2020 budget in the Special Projects has funds for this project; and WHEREAS, Public Works received the following proposals: Dering Pierson Group, LLC: $23,446.78 RAK Construction: $32,500.00 WHEREAS, Public Works also further recommends a contingency of $12,600.00 be approved for any electrical modifications, installation of electronic door hardware and unforeseen issues that may arise during this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Accepts the Proposal from Dering Pierson Group, for $23,446.78, for installing a new entrance to the Administration area of City Hall. 2. Approves an allowance of $16,050.00 for electrical modifications and the installation of electronic door hardware. I Funding exists in the Special Project Fund, account 480-4180-7050 for this project. 4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. 5. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
