Item 08B <br />Page 2 of 9 <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br />N/A <br /> <br /> <br />Summary <br />The applicant proposes to tear down their detached garage, and build a new garage, requiring a <br />CUP for an oversized garage (1,196 sq ft). <br /> <br />A Public Hearing notice was published by the Shoreview Press on March 31, 2020, and mailed <br />to property owners within 350’ of the subject property. <br /> <br /> <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br />The Planning Commission recommended approval on April 15, 2020 (Resolution 1119-20). <br /> <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends approval of the Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br />The City Council is requested to consider the following options: <br /> <br />1. Approve Resolution 9266. <br /> <br />2. Deny Resolution 6266, denying the Conditional Use Permit, with Findings. <br /> <br />3. Table the request. If additional information is needed before a decision can be rendered or <br />if more discussion is needed, the City Council can table the request until such information <br />has been provided.
