He noted a joint Commission, City Council and Comprehensive <br />Plan Task Force meeting would be held on Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. He reported the <br />Comprehensive Plan would be available on the City’s website for the Commission and general <br />public to review. <br /> <br />Commissioner Monn recommended the City’s mission and vision be included in this document. <br />She thanked staff and the task force for all their efforts on this document. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />7. Reports <br /> <br />A. Upcoming Planning Cases & Activity <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sevald discussed upcoming planning cases. He commented <br />on the progress that was being made at the Boulevard apartments. He noted the development <br />agreements for the Crossroad Pointe development was still being worked on. He estimated the <br />City would be closing on this property by August 1st. He reported the City has entered into a <br />purchase agreement for the Skyline Motel and requested RFP’s to redevelop the site into a new <br />hotel. <br /> <br />B. Staff Updates <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sevald provided the Commission with an update from staff. <br />He discussed the recent Town Hall meeting and stated he was pleased by the attendance at this <br />event. <br /> <br />C. Council Updates <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause provided the Planning Commission with an update from the City <br />Council. He thanked the Commissioners that were able to attend the Town Hall meeting. He <br />commended the individuals that were selected for Citizen of the Year (Penny Howard) and <br />Coach of the Year (Aaron Bahn). He explained the Hospital Board recently dissolved and the <br />assets have been disbursed to the member cities. He noted the City of Mounds View received a <br />check in the amount of $827,280. He commented on the upgrades that would be occurring to the <br />City’s water treatment plants and noted the engineering work for this project had been approved <br />by the Council. He indicated the Council was considering creating two new task forces, the first <br />to address the creation of veteran’s memorial park and the second would be for GreenStep Task <br />Force. <br /> <br />D.
