RESOLUTION NO. 9284 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE <br />HOUSING/CODE/FIRE INSPECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION AND TITLE TO <br />FIREFIGHTER/FIRE/HOUSING/CODE INSPECTOR <br />WHEREAS, the City advertised the position of Housing/Code/Fire Inspector on <br />February 27, 2020 with Firefighting as a desired qualification; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 26, 2020, the City hired Isaiah Schoeman with five (5) years <br />of SBM Volunteer Firefighter experience which was a desired qualification; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Schoeman desires to continue as a SBM Firefighter and respond <br />to fire and emergency calls as necessary during his employment at the City of Mounds <br />View; and <br />WHEREAS, as City Council desires to encourage and support staff to participate <br />in Volunteer Firefighting; and <br />WHEREAS, at this time staff has altered the Housing/Code/Fire Inspector job <br />description to accurately reflect duties of the position which include a title change to: <br />Firefighter/Fire/Housing/Code Inspector; and <br />WHEREAS, duties of Firefighter have been incorporated into the job description; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Schoeman will receive Public Employees Retirement Association <br />Police and Fire (PERA P&F) benefits. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby approve revisions to the Housing/Code/Fire Inspector Job Description <br />and Title to Firefighter/Fire/Housing/Code Inspector Position. <br />Adopted this 8th June, 2020. <br />Carol A.
