Item 08F <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9254 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDS TO COMPLETE <br />THE 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 462.355, Subd 1(a) requires that each municipality <br />within the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Council, review and update its Comprehensive Plan, <br />fiscal devices, and official controls, every ten years; and, <br />WHEREAS, The City contracted with Stantec, approving a Scope of Services to <br />complete the Comprehensive Plan based on a checklist of minimum requirements, at a cost of <br />$90,716 with funds from the 2018 budget (Resolution 8878). A draft Comprehensive Plan was <br />completed at a cost of $86,844, and submitted to the Metropolitan Council in December 2019 for <br />its review; and, <br />WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council reviewed the draft Comprehensive Plan, and <br />issued an incomplete letter in January 2020; and, <br />WHEREAS, Stantec proposes to complete the Comprehensive Plan at an additional cost <br />of $12,597; and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes the City Administrator to sign a Scope of Services agreement with Stantec to <br />complete the Comprehensive Plan, with funds provided by: <br />$ 5,915 Community Development, 100-4180-3030 <br />$ 1,782 Sanitary Sewer, 730-4820-3030 <br />$ 4,900 Storm Water, 745-4415-3030 <br />$12,597 Total <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED THAT any additional expenses <br />shall be the responsibility of Stantec, alone. <br />Adopted this 24r1 day of August, 2020 <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />Z1,e e� <br />Carol A.
