Future Mounds View Park and <br />Recreation Programs <br />a Looking ahead at other programs and serving the Community <br />► Develop a Community Advisory board to make recommendations to <br />the Park and Recreation and Forestry Commission on potential <br />Recreation Programs <br />The board will consist of The City Administrator, Finance Director, Public <br />Works/Park and Recreation Director, Recreation Superintendent, two <br />members of the Park and Recreation and Forestry Commission, two Council <br />Members and three citizens appointed by the City Council. <br />s The board will meet on a quarterly basis to discuss Recreation programs and <br />future programming opportunities. <br />Mounds View Park & Recreation <br />Programs <br />Scholarships - The City is not able to fund raise <br />► How do we provide scholarships for residents to help off set some of <br />the cost of the Park and Recreation programs <br />► The City would Create a Park and Recreation Foundation - this would <br />be set up very similar to the Police Foundation. The Park and Recreation <br />Foundation would solicit donations and plan events to raise the needed <br />funds for scholarships. <br />► A separate panel would award the scholarships to the applicants. <br />► The foundation will be a citizen lead group and have a minimum of 5 <br />members. The Public Works / Park and Recreation Director or the <br />Recreation Superintendent shall be invited when the foundation meets. <br />
